Welcome to the Writing Center!

The Writing Center (WC) provides writing assistance to UC Santa Cruz graduate students in any class or major, and to undergraduate students enrolled in the writing classes listed below.  

Undergrads enrolled in these classes may schedule a writing assistance appointment:  Writing 1, 1E, 2, 2H, and 26

Undergraduates not enrolled in these classes may seek out writing assistance from the UC Santa Cruz Learning Support Services Program. 

Your WC appointment will be an synchronous online appointment by default.  However, if you need to meet with a tutor in person, please email writeon@ucsc.edu to request an in-person appointment on campus.  

To schedule your writing assistance session, you will need to register for an account here at ucsc.mywconline.com.  If you are already registered, please log in.

• GRADUATE STUDENTS: Grads may schedule tutoring sessions by selecting the schedule labeled Grad Student Writing Support Winter 2026. The winter quarter tutoring begins on January 12 and continues through March 20, 2026.
• UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: Please book a tutoring session in the schedule labeled Undergrad Writing Support Winter 2026.  The winter quarter tutoring begins on January 20 and continues through March 20, 2026.
