Welcome to the Writing Center!

The Writing Center (WC) provides writing assistance to UC Santa Cruz undergraduate and graduate students in any major.

Your WC appointment will be an online appointment by default. However, if you need to meet with a tutor in person, please email writeon@ucsc.edu to request an in-person appointment on campus.

To schedule your writing assistance session, you will need to register for an account here at ucsc.mywconline.com. If you are already registered, please log in.

GRADUATE STUDENTS: Grads may schedule tutoring sessions by selecting the schedule labeled Grad Student Writing Support (Fall 2025). The fall quarter tutoring begins on October 9 and continues through December 5, 2025.
UNDERGRADUATES ENROLLED IN WRITING 1, 1E, 2, or 26: Please book a session in the schedule labeled Writing Assistants: Writing 1, 1E, 2, 26. The fall quarter tutoring begins on September 25 and continues through December 5, 2025.
UNDERGRADUATES NOT ENROLLED IN WRITING 1, 1E, 2, or 26: Please book a session in the schedule labeled Undergraduate Writing Support (Fall 25). The fall quarter tutoring begins on October 9 and continues through December 5, 2025.
